Alpine Herb Crostini
Ingredients
Bread Base
- 1 baguette, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Herb Topping
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons chives, minced
- 100g aged Gruyère cheese, finely grated
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Sea salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Prepare Baguette Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and slice baguette into thin rounds, about 1/4 inch thick.
Brush and Season Arrange bread slices on a baking sheet, brush each with olive oil, and sprinkle with minced garlic.
Add Herbs Evenly distribute fresh thyme, rosemary, and chives over the bread slices.
Cheese Topping Sprinkle grated Gruyère cheese over each crostini, followed by a pinch of sea salt and black pepper.
Bake Place in oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and crisp and cheese is melted.
Serve Remove from oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes before serving as a crisp, herbaceous appetizer.
